well, 'fuseiso -p' can be used to quickly mount an ISO anywhere in the filesystem, without the need to maintain the mount point manually.
Something like this:
--- snip --- $ fuseiso -p ~/Downloads/my_pirated_aoe.iso ~/Age_of_Empires_iso $ $(cd ~/Age_of_Empires_iso && wine ./aoesetup.exe) $ fusermount -u ~/Age_of_Empires_iso --- snip ---
other than that your statement is correct.
* outdated, no longer supported Wine version used * PlayOnLinux = hacked Wine = unsupported * potential use of pirated software (ISO image)
Tidbit: the game installs fine with Wine 1.7.x and likely did with Wine 1.6 (which is also dated and should not be used).
