#2, Can those of us not using Arch and not watching the kernel bug get a
summary? The patch has been applied and released to a particular kernel
version?

I'd like to know the clean, apt-get install/yum install resolution for the non
Kernel patching savvy users.  Are we looking for a particular kernel release? 
Some of use I believe are running an older Kernel and just skipping kernel
updates until we know we can safely take the update.
