Where on the ribbon are you finding print? On my install it's a menu item accessed from the Office button, and it can also be added to the quick access toolbar. Either way, I can't reproduce this. Printing ranges works fine here.
Sorry, i thought the button on the top left was called ribbon. I meant the "Office button".
What happens when you try to print a range of pages in notepad?
Tried notepad and it seems to work fine, except for the fact that it shows "Page &p" instead of (for example) "Page 5". This happens on all pages.
