Thanks, that got me further into the game. Though sound is stuttering (whether
ALSA or OSS), just a small issue. The bigger issue is that the game crashes in
creating a New Game, after selecting the opponents and clicking Next.

Anyway, I was just interested in the game. Don't HAVE to play it. But if someone
has fun in getting it to work, be my guest.
