Bug ID: 44937 Summary: Dual screen setup, contextual menu appearing on other monitor on some (not all) applications Product: Wine Version: 3.5 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: ostefanog@hotmail.com
This is a weird issue. It happens only when two external monitors are connected, and only with specific applications. I am using Wine 3.x (tried 3.0, 3.4, and 3.5) on OSX with the MAC (quartz) driver (no X11).
For my tests I am using IDA 7.0 Freeware (64bit app) for Windows (available here https://www.hex-rays.com/products/ida/support/download_freeware.shtml). Unlike other (older) versions of the same application, this app opens up on my secondary monitor.
This is not an issue per-se since I can still drag the window on my other monitor. What is weird is that when I try to open a menu (contextual or from the menu bar), that menu appears on the secondary monitor, meaning that I don't see anything being displayed over the main windows (which I have dragged on my primary monitor in the meanwhile).
If I move the main window to the secondary monitor everything works.
Any idea why this behavior is happening?
