[Bug 24114] Half Life 1, Opposing Force and Blue Shift crash before the menu loads

These are the registry settings from a working installation of Half Life 1.  I
have tried duplicating these on a fresh installation, but the problem persists.

I've also confirmed that CounterStrike 1.6 suffers from the same problem, so
perhaps all goldsrc games are affected.

If there is anyone out there who can get these games to work with the current
version of wine, please post your configuration (distro, wine version,
hardware, driver versions, etc)
