Many non-Wine apps are affected by this and print the same error; supposedly adding the user to the 'video' group is a fix/workaround. See e.g. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22979...
So the question is -- is this something Wine can do anything about, or is it a distro or Nvidia issue, or both?
