The patching works fine, though, I am unable to type anything on the log in screen.
I can select which char field has focus with the mouse, and the cursor blinks, but other than that typing results to nothing.
One side effect I noticed, the last app that had focus before GW, was a pidgin window.
So while I was presented with GW log in screen, the key strokes, where typed in the pidgin chat window.
Weird.
I tried downgrading to ubuntu hardy's, default wine version, but no luck there either.
Ran into this same problem, I found that if I checked "Allow the window manager to control the windows" then I could type in the fields again. I'm using Fedora 10 Gnome. This doesn't occur on my Ubuntu Intrepid Gnome laptop.
As it turns out, when I enable "Allow the window manager to control the windows", I can't minimize or switch between windowed and maximized. When I disable it, I can't even login. What to do now?
PS: wine version: 1.1.29
