Was this with WINEDLLOVERRIDES=winegstreamer=d and a clean prefix? I don't
think vanilla Wine with builtin amstream & quartz should work with this type of
video when gstreamer is disabled. I could be wrong about that though.

Unless the Steam build has the videos encoded differently? Attached output of
mediainfo for the opening video for the GOG build.
