I checked it also with an extern monitor, which I run 
with 1600x1200 mode and xorg.
So the resolutions may be not the real reason.
In xorg.conf  you don't write the resolution any more. 
Now the modes are recognized by checks.

Soon I will attach an other output file. I didn't had the time to record the
error output using the external monitor.
