Should have been fixed for a while now (in Wine and in cxoffice 6.0.3). Note that you need to use a backup of the file you tested with as the bug causes the loaded file to be corrupted and display the same error message when loaded again in Excel 2003 in Wine and on Windows.
Well. last time I tested it (about 1 month ago) it was still broken. VBA did not work, unless DCOM98 was installed with winetricks. I noticed the corruption of vba projects, too, but even with fresh files it didn't work. BTW I'll test it again this week end. Max
I have a similar problem with the excel VBA macros that has some user forms in it. I tried to use DCOM98 and also WINE (builtin and native and also vice versa) to open and execute macros written in MSExcel 2003. I get the "SystemError &h80040110" and out of memory errors and the form never opens. Since, there is not much activity on this bug since sometime, I just wanted to know if this is a bug that is solved or if is there a workaround, so that WINE can be used to open and execute VBA macros(having forms) in excel files. P.S: The VBA macros that do not have forms work well with WINE.
