Why override defaults when right-clicking to Open with ... is easy enough?
Simply installing Wine hijacks tens of associations, all of which are abysmal and not trivial to revert in batch.
Wine already has a solution for this issue in a form of Crossover Office. Alexander Julliard just doesn't feel like open sourcing it.
