[Bug 34338] System Shock 2 v2.42 randomly crashes frequently

system shock2 2.42 on wine 1.6 crash4

setup: core duo 6400 cpu 2.13GHz, 1GB Ram, 128MB geforce7300LE (using latest
nvidia driver), Lubuntu 13.04, wine 1.6, steam version of System Shock2.

issue: random crashes - can take up to half a hour for the game to crash with
no apparent reason.
