[Bug 26540] Irfanview 4.28 paint extension changes to the image are lost upon closing the paint window

This also happens in Ubuntu Lucid, and in any IrfanView version AFTER 4.25,
including most recent versi0n, 4.30.

There is also an issue in 4.25, similar result, but there is a workaround. 
Select the focus inside the paint toolbar, then select the image size to "View
original size" and then close the Paint toolbar and the changes are saved.
