To be honest I think that the ATI drivers contain some Wine specific hack. The
code in question only preselecting a pixel format. In general apps request a
totally different format than the default. The code also won't be re-added as
preselecting an OpenGL capable pixel format was done for ALL programs even for
apps that didn't need OpenGL/Direct3D and this caused issues apart from that it
is unneeded.
