HI

I was using the latest stable version installed according to the winehq
web site.

Latest stable release:    Wine 1.6.2

This is also the bundled version with ubuntu 15.10

I have just added the wine ppa and tried again with version 1.7.50

This time the installer crashes and disappears after accepting the
terms and conditions and after a short time all wine services in the
system monitor disappear.

The other two windows programs I use, Adobe dng convertor and Xnview
both worked on 1.6.2 and continue to work on the 1.7.50 version
