[Bug 9458] Max Payne 2 demo: areas redrawn as light blue or transparent

For what it's worth, this patch causes similar problems in the demo part of
3DMark03. What I'm not sure about is if the patch itself is flawed, or if it
exposes a bug somewhere else.
