PS I'm already aware that a separate bug report has been posted about the secure ("SSL", "STARTTLS" or "STLS") mode not working for POP3 and SMTP under Wine. I don't know if I need to install a beta version of Wine for the secure sending/receiving modes to work?
No, that hasn't been addressed, else it would be marked fixed.
