I duplicated the actions in the video, but still cannot get vobblanker to hang.
I noticed when I hit the preview button, your video was automatically played,
whereas mine didn't.

I'm running Slackware btw. I guess I can try it out on Ubuntu as well. It also
might be helpful if you can provide a small video as a test case.
