------- Additional Comments From vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2007-04-08 19:14 ------- This is not a use support place! This is place to report Wine bugs. You clearly can not show that the _problem_ you having caused by Wine.
The reason I can state that, because I have tested multiple installations, versions, distros, etc and encountered such behavior you describing. However in all case it was either: 1. A broken "feature" in disto's addition to KDE. 2. Problem of KDE when mixing old / new menu structure. 3. User error (deleting/hiding links from menu) or not running wineboot.
1) and 2) could be easily spotted when running menu editor and _browsing existing_ menu structure - the part you still have not clarified.
Well first of all, by trying to answer your question, I can't comply with your request, that I not reopen the bug report.
You have not _clearly_ answered my question(s) yet.
But then the question you had used to close the bug report was also a fiction, since it as not meant to be answered.
Since you don't care in troubleshooting Wine, I gave you a workaround and closed bug as the only signs of the problem you gave describe 1), 2)or 3).
Now you're telling me, after clearly not looking at the file output I've sent
I have looked at the file and seen that Wine have created all the proper files in all the proper places as stated by XDG Freedesktop standard.
I've written are identical in Linux distributions. So it makes perfect sense to you that the same KDE is buggy on one computer and not the other, even though I'm not having any problems, outside of running WINE.
All possible reasons for the bug 1), 2) or 3) are not 100% repeatable (except of course the same user doing the same mistake).
Anyway. You failed to show any bugs in Wine. Your problem is _not_ caused by bug in Wine but bug in KDE (as in your distro's KDE version, not vanilla). Or misconfiguration yours or distro's.
