OK, but that would make sense (to me), if that memory protection was a feature added by commit "Add support for 16-bit/32-bit DIB sections", because these (hundred) "seh:raise_exception" began to occur after merging this dib section patch.
You say the program crashes, is there a backtrace?
Unfortunately no. After merging dib section patch, program
* Freeze (usualy with repetitive sound of that moment)
or
* end up within text console with Segmentation fault (i call this as crash) and only sign of error is "err:seh:setup_exception_record nested exception on signal stack in thread 0009 eip..."
