--- Comment #6 from Shlomi Fish shlomif@shlomifish.org --- (In reply to Yaron Shahrabani from comment #5)
Hi Shlomi and thank you for your interest.
- This version of PlayOnLinux is prior to 4.2.2 (released Dec 31, 2013) and
after 4.2.1 (released Apr 1, 2013) as the following links shows: https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/POL-POM-4/releases/tag/4.2.1 https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/POL-POM-4/releases/tag/4.2.2
Meaning that the wine version is prior to Dec 31, 2013. The Wine tags shows 1.7.9 is what we're after which dates back to Dec 20, 2013 as the following link shows: http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/ 12f43584739fd4df5ca86a320bd9fd09fe3b64b7
Any version after that is fine.
The thread on FXP forum shows that the version used is 1.7.8 so your version is fine.
- Not sure it has anything to do with the architecture, purely visual, any
architecture will do.
- There's a free trial version for 60 days, you'll have to register with
the Microsoft services, if you don't have any user account I'd love to download and send it to you. The link will be: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-office-professional-plus- 2010
This 60 days trial does put a damper on our relationship. Sorry, but I'd rather not risk such a trial to expire 60 days from now, so I won't be able to use it again for something more critical.
Sorry that you went to the trouble of writing the reply.
Regards,
