this bug is fixed in 1.2rc2, but it has regressed somewhere and with 1.2rc6 the bug is back again. I will try to look for the patch that caused it, but i will have to do it later.
Are you sure it has been fixed for you in 1.2-rc2? It still crashes for me without native msvcrt.dll either in 1.2-rc2 or in 1.2-rc6. I usually test this bug with the demo.
