While trying to reproduce bug 10859, I noticed that when Heredis 9 starts for the first time on a fresh .wine, the Gecko download prompt comes up under the Heredis splash screen, and is hard to use.
The real fix is for us to package Gecko with Wine, I think. Can't we just check it in to git?
Some people might find this wiki entry helpful, I started it a short while ago after Austin English brought up the issue of downloading Gecko often during testing.
Rather than packaging it, what about a script to opt to install it (globally) when installing wine? Otherwise that's an extra 5.5MB people have to download each release.
