Summary: All sound broken in Hinterland Product: Wine Version: 1.1.12 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dsound AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: Rincebrain@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=18554) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18554) WINEDEBUG="+dsound" log with Hinterland
I've tested this in 1.1.12 and latest GIT, as well as latest GIT + the patch from bug 16832 (which fixes a minor crash bug).
On run, Hinterland starts and loads the company logo in the window, and then transitions to a white screen (which I presume is supposed to be something else, but that fails to render), at which point, horrible static-like noise begins blaring from the speakers.
If you've applied the patch mentioned above, clicking once in the white will load the main menu, instead of crashing. The horrible static-like noise persists with no apparent variation. It continued to persist until I disabled sound output in the Options menu.
Having attempted to play the game with sound enabled, there are some apparent variations in sound once gameplay begins, and I heard the noise for buttons being pressed once or twice when I did so.
I'll attach the WINEDEBUG="+dsound" log, but it's rather large, so I'll be attaching it as a bz2.
