[Bug 9622] Binary/Text IO in C++ under Wine

I'm writing a test application. I'll be running it through VMWare and Wine, and
if it does in fact behave differently on Wine and Windows (And i want to check
Cedega just to see, but my installation of Python is severely damaged and i
don't feel like directly invoking the Wine engine under Cedega.)

Once i have my test case done i'll attach it.
