that post on Crossover's Compatibility Forum claims that this problem no longer
exists in Crossover 9.1 beta. If anyone has access and can corroborate, that'd
be nice.

I would test with wine from git but am currently not able to do so due to
connection anomalies. Looking over the changes from rc6, I don't see anything
that stands out as a potential fix, and I'm somewhat skeptical that this
problem would not exist in rc7 or git, but we'll see if my connection behaves
properly again soon.
