Summary: Unable to type french accented characters Product: Wine Version: 1.3.24 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: lukaschmela@gmail.com
French is not my locale in Ubuntu, however, I need it in wine applications as well as in Ubuntu native applications. Using the keyboard shortcut (Shift+CapsLock), I can change the keyboard layout in Ubuntu to french azerty and that is also well recognized in wine.
The problem is, that when I try to type a french accented letter (e.g. è,à,ê), it only types the unaccented equivalent (e,a,e). This happens in Wine's Notepad as well as in other applications.
