Yes, that could mean it's actually a bug in the Nvidia binary drivers (or a bug
in the game itself). As I stated previously, the problem doesn't occur with the
open source Nouveau driver.
My only concern is that the problem doesn't exist with Wine 1.3.30 and with the
current Nvidia drivers (313.18). That was the last working Wine version before
bug #28743 emerged.
And I really wouldn't be hurt if this bug report turned out to be invalid.
