Well, in some cases it happens all the time. For example on my machine it took
me about 3 hours of restarting for it to finally succeed (I was just working at
home while having this a background thing and restarted it each time it failed)

So, speaking of the root cause. I'm not sure if just bumping up the timeout
would be an upstream acceptable thing :(
