--- Comment #49 from Tobias Jakobi liquid.acid@gmx.net 2008-05-03 14:49:54 --- I have quite some problems getting sane results with the failsafe terminal.
I have virtual desktop enabled and if I don't pipe (via &>) all console output into a file and just start wine with: ~/wine-git/wine shock2.exe The process crashes with a flood of logging output to the console as soon as the loading sequence ends.
Still trying to capture the log somehow.
If I pipe the output into a file the process also crashes, but the log is quite small. It's not the same crashing behaviour.
I also tested the AvP1 demo with wine-0.9.61 and z-buffer problems are gone (I had portions of the scene, almost only dynamic structures like water or doors rendered wrong with wine-0.9.60). But I'm also experiencing the vertical lines there, BUT not in-game. Only during the starting sequence and the ending sequence (as bunch of pictures is shown when you quit the game, these pictures are affected by the vertical line bug).
I'm going to make some checks for shock2 without vdesktop.
