I retry. Now with wine 1.7.18.

Setting windows mode 98 -->  I was able to play. I didnt set it before at
earlier test.

But it feels that I get random crashes too. 3 crashes already...

The cursor could be a bit more responsive at starting scene, but the animation
is smooth.

I assume the game is pretty much same shape as reported before.
