Summary: Gizmo5: Does not install from clean .wine directory due to lack of Windows OS version (needs XP/2000 or above) Product: Wine Version: 1.1.22 Platform: PC URL: http://gizmo5.com/pc/download/#gizmo31 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P3 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: novakyu@novakyu.net
When installing the latest version of Gizmo (4.0.5) with fresh .wine directory, the install fails because no OS version is specified in system.reg by default (a dialog saying that XP/2000 or above is required shows up before installer quits), even though when winecfg is run, it does have Windows XP selected (but nothing in the system.reg indicates that).
If the version is changed to 2000 then Gizmo installs fine. If the version is changed *back* to XP (so that OS version specification is in system.reg), Gizmo again installs fine.
