I am at the same kernel level. I found that wine 1.1.44 crashed just the same
as on the newer kernel. It seems 1.1.43 is the only stable one at the moment.

It sounds like a change was introduced in the 1.1.44 set but not present during
regression testing and thus wasn't visible until the 3.3.5 patch came out.
