Whenever the various panes should be rendering. Bits and pieces of the world can be tricked into showing up, but mostly random garbage from video memory and then a refresh to black. I believe the 'fixed in 1.1.4' report was spurious, i've never seen hammer4 work properly in wine.
Also, only very old versions of hammer have a -opengl switch, its no longer relevent to the program or testing.
