There is no native ddraw/directx dlls loaded in the log. That might be
a registry that makes a difference then. Can you keep original registry
files and compare them with 'diff -u' with the files after directx install?
Or save registry files after directx install, and copy them after the game
installation, and see if that makes a difference.
