--- Comment #41 from Matteo Bruni matteo.mystral@gmail.com --- As Matthew mentioned, the issue wasn't limited to Nvidia binary drivers (he got it on Intel) so closing the bug after the Nvidia drivers were fixed doesn't seem entirely correct.
Anyway, I changed the fog code in wined3d recently (the change is in the Wine 1.7.45 release) and that should have reintroduced the bug. I can't reproduce the issue though, maybe this was also fixed in the game with an update at some point? Can anyone else reproduce?
