--- Comment #8 from Andreas Allacher ghost_zero5@gmx.at 2009-05-22 13:42:12 --- I was now able to get Sacred 2 to start by doing the installation with Wine v1.0.1, then copying the content of disk 2 into the Sacred 2 Installation directory as that wouldn't get installed otherwise AND then doing the Update to v2.40.0 with v1.0.1 Afterwards I upgraded to Wine v1.1.21 and extracted the d3dx9_36.dll into the system32 directory. After doing all this I was able to get into the main menu successfully and even starting a game and watching the Videos was possible. HOWEVER, there actually isn't much displayed, just the User-Interface-Part of the Menu and the Game, the Game-Graphics itself are not displayed and therefore the game is, of course, unplayable. However, this might also be related to me having an ATi graphic card and using 64Bit Linux.
Furthermore, though no graphic is displayed yet the game/menu reacts extremely slowly. Way slower than under Windows.
Btw.: The FBO setting didn't change much, actually I had even more graphic problems after trying out that one.
