By the way, don't be fooled... the normal SDL's SDL_mixer
doesn't seem to have midi support; you have to go here 
to see it:

I filed an enhancement request with the SDL folks,
including a suggested patch, that would move the SDL
timidity.cfg somewhere easier for wine to support; see
