Can you try with a clean .wine directory? Maybe with Wine 1.0.0 as well? From other bug reports on Guitar Pro, it looks like others have gotten further.
What do you mean 'a clear .wine directory'? Should I delete all the other programs I have installed in ~/.wine/drive_c ?! Also, what's the easiest way to try out Wine 1.0.0? Should I uninstall the current version and downgrade, or is there an easier way?
