According to http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=897531&st=20&s... there's at least one guy (the guy mentioning the fix being me) who's probably running windows, has the game crashing at "new game" and gets through the intro with bUseFaceGenHeads=0.
