[Bug 32641] Breath of Fire IV: Crash on starting the game

Did you try the game with Windows version set to Windows XP  in winecfg?
I can reproduce the crash in Win7 mode, but the game starts properly when
Windows version is set to WinXP.

AFAIK the game has known problems when running on newer Windows.
Windows users suggest to use either DxWnd or dgVoodoo:

I managed to start the game in Win7 mode using DxWnd (but performance was
considerably slower than in Win XP mode without DxWnd).

Tested in Wine-4.5.
