--- Comment #6 from git tester kdebugs@hotmail.com 2013-02-01 14:39:35 CST --- This is the patch from the Guild Wars bug page Xpander was referring to: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=36923 Xpander what Wine version are you applying that patch to?! Xpander re-download the latest Hawken installer and try to install again. I suspect an older installer works for you and newer installers do not work for the rest of us.
That Guild Wars patch does not apply cleanly to Wine 1.5.23. Also Wine 1.5.23 does not compile with only the crypt32 part of the patch.
The installer says, "Failed to initialize installer".
An unpatched Wine 1.5.23 as well as previous version of Wine gives this console output: ------- fixme:winhttp:request_query_option unimplemented option 93 fixme:iphlpapi:NotifyAddrChange (Handle 0x32cbbc, overlapped 0xf2b688): stub fixme:winsock:WSALookupServiceBeginW (0x32cc68 0x00000ff0 0x32cca4) Stub! [0201/142749:ERROR:network_change_notifier_win.cc(111)] WSALookupServiceBegin failed with: 8 fixme:winhttp:request_query_option unimplemented option 93 (above line repeats) fixme:iphlpapi:CancelIPChangeNotify (overlapped 0xf2b688): stub -------
Also web content does display properly but only after I installed ie6.
Whether my libraries are set to native or built-in makes no difference to the console output or to the installer.
