Ah, is that so? I didn't know.
I tried launching a couple more apps, and the crash happens every time. But in all other cases, the app in question works fine.
However, for mIRC, the focus is simply lost, and I don't get it back even if I close the crash dialog. Only way to do anything is to kill -9 the mIRC process itself...
I also tried the non-staging version of wine. Same issue is reproduced there as well.
Thanks for testing, moving to the "Wine" product then. I am not aware of any changes in winemenubuilder in the last release, but of course it could be a side-effect of some change in a different area. To find out which commit introduced the crash for you, it would be very useful to run a regression test. See https://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting for more details.
The mIRC issue sounds unrelated. If this is also a problem you first encountered with 1.9.5, but not with older versions, please open a separate bug report for it. There have indeed be changes related to dialog focus handling, but similar to this bug, a regression test would help a lot as a starting point.
