Is the concern only about being able to build Wine (+ Wayland driver) on older systems , or also being able to use the Wayland driver on such systems. The Wayland driver requires EGL_EXT_present_opaque since otherwise GL content is not presented properly. The only reason we did not require it to begin with was a blocking bug in Mesa.
