It's not obvious that this is a duplicate of 8051. Can you attach a +tid,seh,d3d9,d3d8,d3d trace?

There is no crash backtrace in the log. Try again and if you get a crash dialog, please click close so that the backtrace ends up in the log. Then attach the new log.
Unrelated, there is no point in setting all the MaxShaderModel* registry keys to 5 since it's an upper bound i.e. it has no effect.
At least have again collin mac rae rally 2005 gog installer and problem has fixed reinstalling game
Apparently have relation with register keys
Good tip about max shader model 5, normally use for stay ready for DX11 games but also changed to 4 for test DX10 games
