And oddly, when you drag it near the edge, very interesting things start happening when it touches the edge; as you move the mouse closer to the edge, the same kind of grey misdrawing happens to an area proprortional to how much further the cursor went than when the dialog touched the edge.
You can also get a similar problem if you pause a game (Game / Paused Game) and then try to quit; an octagon comes up; it should be red with some text, but in Wine it comes up blank. That's even easier to reproduce than loading the saved game. (You have to unpause the game to quit.) And it's even a bit worse, as the text is never rendered under Wine, even if you get the rest of the stop sign to show up by moving it around.
