Works fine here. Look at your system settings. Especially printer configuration. Lots of distros have this problem that shows up all the time.
On a hunch, I tried my shop workstation (CentOS 4.x). It also has the A4 problem. So both my Linux workstations have the same problem.
I think I am missing your point. EVERY Linux program (Open Office, Firefox, Thunderbird, gedit, gimp) that I could find, gets the default printer and the paper size correctly. If my settings were wrong, this would not be the case. And, I attached a screen shot of my CUPS settings for my default printer. Did you see anything wrong?
This is what I do not get: if *all* my Linux programs get it correctly, why is this a "system setting" issue?
And, why does Wine, also a Linux program, get it wrong?
I have been wrong on my suppositions before, more often then I would like to admit, so I will keep an open mind. I just don't get it how this is not a Wine issue.
