I have the same issue with the game, using Wine-1.1.41. I'm on Fedora 12, too,
and have a GeForce 7xxx series card with proprietary driver.
I compiled Wine-1.1.41 from source using CFLAGS="-gdwarf-2" still my backtrace
is very similar to the bug reporter's (provides source information from the
game).
