[Bug 9771] Steam Friends doesn't work

Guys - can anybody summarise what is/isn't working here in what versions of
Wine?

I can see two problems here (no chat messages appearing and unable to search
for users), and I see that wine-0.9.39 appears to work (for one of those, or
both?).

With both 0.9.39 and latest Git I see both of those problems.

I was going to regression test but can't find any working version.
